Ok folks, I discovered a nifty feature in my BIOS recently that allows access to advanced settings..... such as CAS, Tras, etc. RAM latencies. Now, If you've read my other thread you will know that I am having problems with my RAM being at the wrong settings.
So, thinking i was being smart I set the RAM frequency to 200mhz (what the RAM should be set at due to it being PC3200, from 166mhz)
Anyways, now my PC won't start... it loads up and then just emits a looong beep indicating DRAM error. So, I need to reset my CMOS don't I? Well, at first I pulled the battery from my MOBO out, waited a minute, then placed it back in..... no luck.
I have tried again, this time keeping the battery out for about 30mins. Still no luck.
Any suggestions? I'm really desperate here folks, you's gotta help me! It can't be that my PC is just now completely borked can it? Also, is there a chance that my RAM is now ****zored?
my mobo is a Gigabyte KT8V800 Pro if anyone was wondering.
