I was told I should get a larger PSU, and was wondering how this one would do.

NZXT PRC-550 550W Power Supply

Is NZXT a good brand, and will 550W be sufficient for the computer?

Here's the whole comp.

Raidmax Ninja-918 ATX Mid-tower Case w/450W Power Supply

[939-pin] AMD® Athlon-64 X2 3800+ CPU w/ Hyper Transport Technology

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe nForce4 SLI-x16 Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Dual Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, Dual PCI-E MB

2048 MB [1024MB X2] DDR-400 PC3200 Memory Module Corsair-Value or Major Brand More Options

Maxtor 80 GB 7200 RPM Ultra ATA-133 Hard Drive

16X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive

3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard

600W PMPO 3 PCS Super Bass Subwoofer Speaker System

ViewSonic 19" VX924 TFT LCD Monitor [Extreme Gaming; 3 ms; Silver/Black 2-Tone]

MS Windows XP Home Edition w/Service Pack-2

Wireless 802.11g 54Mbps PCI Adapter

Thanks. :)

I haven't heard of NZXT, but I would recommend one of these:
OCZ Modstream 520W (very stable)
Antec TruepowerII 480W
Enermax Noisetaker 485W

I would recommend at minimum 450W
however some PSU's rated at 450W only get 450W at peak. a good PSU can output their rated power constantly, and even output more power if necessary.

the three PSU's I listed above have a peak load of about 100W more than they are rated

it sounds like a system from buyxg or cyberpower, they are sister companys. I can't say anything about cyberpower but buyxg bait and switched a video card from evga to xmdia after shipping ( i refused the delivery) if this is them look at more info on there website for the item you order and ask if you will get what they show. in an email from them they stated we do not guarantee brands its an evga place marker nothing more.

I'm ordering from iBUYPOWER, they seemed to have the best prices, and I've heard goodthings about them.

Get the PCP&C Turbo-Cool 510 Express/SLI, it costs more than other power supplies, but in the end it will be worth every penny. It will also end up paying for itself due to the high efficiency rating. It's actually on sale at pcpowerandcooling.com for $20 off right now.
