hard drive problem!

I am having problems getting a secondary hard drive to show up. The weird thing is that I had this hard drive hooked up before and it worked just fine, and now its not mounting.

i was using this hard drive in an external enclosure. if I put it back into the enclosure and hook it up using firewire, it shows up and i can modify the files and everything. once I put it in the computer, it shows up in the BIOS, but when windows starts there's no sign of it!

what am I doing wrong here?

BTW, my primary drive is SATA, and the secondary is IDE, which i don't think should matter, but just thought I should mention it.

I need this to work inside the computer because I need it for recording with pro tools software.

from my experience depending on the make of the hard drive try going 2 the web site they might have some program that will let you read extra drives of that make i had to do that with a maxtor drive .
