Restart when OS boots

I just replaced my MOBO and vid card because I had a previous problem and now my computer reboots when it tries to boot the OS. I didn't have this problem before so I'm baffled. I went into the BIOS to see if the processor was overheating, but it was only around 28C.

Specs:
GA-81000MK MOBO
512MB DDR
Pentium 4
WinXP

Run a repair install of windows.
For this you need to change your boot device to the CD-ROM being first, then put in your OS disc, boot off of it, let it detect the previous installation and tell it ti repair by pressing R.

Will I still have all my data on my HD?

Yes, as long as its a REPAIR and not A REFORMAT!.
