3dmark went down after upgs?

I upgraded my processor and mobo and ram from:
amd athlon 2000xp-> amd athlon 64 3200 venice
1gb ram (512 pc3200/512 pc2100 which is basically 2100 both)-> dual channeled corsair value pc3200
viakt 266a-> asrock 939 etc..

my 3d mark score was a 3200 ish with my old specs and now it went down to 2900?
I don't use stock cooling btw on the cpu and I have a vga fan.
what the heck is wrong?

did you take the time to reinstall windows and properly install all of you drivers? What's your video card?

evga geforce 6600 gt 128 mb <--- i presume he still uses this video card ??
WD 80 gb hd 7200 rpm
Sound Blaster Live 5.1


do u have the newest nVidia drivers ?? make sure u installed all your new devices properlly..

still using the 6600 gt and I installed my drivers I should test it out after a few more drivers on other hardware components

get online and make sure you have the newest drivers. Maybe the ones on the disc you recieved with the card are fritzy.
