Partition Magic 8.0 Help

I was trying to instal multiple OS on my system (laptop). First I separate the partition from my C: to d:, however, when I try to install the New OS, it iwll not recognize the D:! it only recognise the C:. Therefore, after a few try I gave up and merge back the partition together. and the problem came, I am not able to boot into windows (XP). Anything I can do to recover? lots important files!!! Help please... thanks,

Note: I try to run the PM8.0 recovery, it doesn't work, it shows it find EZ-drive, but cannot activate EZ-drive

So what is the error message that you are getting when you try to boot?

Problem solved

I have solved the problem, apparently the problem is "Unmountable Boot Volume" If anyone have the same problem, you can check the link below...

Partition Magic - Ultimate Crap.

My Experience, (If your interested)

I started with making a partition on my 120 gig hard drive.

couple weeks later, I didnt have enough empty space between the two partitions (80/40) to defrag the hard drive (Need 15% Free), I decided to Merge my hard drive.

in the end, I have 1 80 gig partition, and all my mp3's are gone =(

my advice for you, just reformat, and redo the partitions from fdisk. Even if you do fix this problem, down the road, i gaurentee you patition magic is gonna affect something.
