Computer doesn't power on?

What could this be ??? I tried a new power supply and zip. Is it the board?

no power whatsoever? no fans spinup? lights? is this a new build that wouldn't power up for the first time or did it suddenly stop working?

nothing. No fans no anything. It is someone elses computer and I am just fixing it. She said it started smelling burnt so she shut it off and now nothing. I tried a new power supply but to no avail.

well that doesn't sound very good. i would start shopping for new motherboards. just to be sure test the psu's on another computer.

The motherboard is not even a year old or right at it. It has a 3 year warranty to it.
