Hello! The platform is Win2k Pro, IBM thinkpad A22m (laptop) and the DVD-ROM drive is a Hitachi GD-S200. The drive itself works as I can boot from it via BIOS. However inside Windows it saying the drivers are not installed. I go to update the driver and it find it in W2k, and it says to finish install you must reboot..I do this when I start it up still nothing. It does not show up under My Computer, but is showing up under the Device Manager with a yellow exclamation of course.. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device, and tried the IBM website for a firmwear update and none of this worked.. :( any ideas? Or perhaps even a current driver? I cant seem to find it any place. The one I have is from 1999 by Microsoft, thanks!
