Hey I'm getting a new computer and my current card is a 9800 256mb...

I want to know what cards compare to that with the ones im being offered with my computer:

Geforce 6600GT 128MB/128-bit GDDR3 PCI-E(EVGA)
Geforce 6800GS 256MB/256-BIT GDDR3 PCI-E(EVGA)
Geforce 6800GT 256MB/256-BIT GDDR3 PCI-E(EVGA)
Geforce 6800GT 256MB/256-bit GDDR3 PCI-E(XFX)
Geforce 7800GT 256MB/256-bit GDDR3 PCI-E(EVGA)
Geforce 7800GTX 256MB/256-bit GDDR3 PCI-E(EVGA)
RADEON X850 XT 256MB/256-BIT GDDR3 PCI-E

none...

the 9800 series compares with geforce fx series
the x800 series compares with geforce 6 series
the x1k series compares with 7800 series

No.

The 6600GT would give you the closest performance to the 9800, assuming its a 9800XT or Pro.

of course...that's because the 6600gt is a newer card and they don't compare wid the 9800's. they compare wid the x800's like i posted

eVGA 7800GT is hands down the best bang for the buck videocard available today. $300 and it will rip through games like a hot knife threw butter.

Forget the GTX. Just overclock the GT.

get the 7800GT hehe =) dont overclock it, alrdy blazing fast and will get rid of your warranty

Right ... so your saying the X1300 compares to the 7800GTX? Mmm No.

There really are no direct parallels between Nvidia's and ATi's GPU's.

7800GTX > 7800GT > (X850XT) > 6800GS OC"ed > 6800GT > 6800GS > 6600GT > 9800XT > 9800pro > 5***series

X1800XT performs against 7800GTX lol

X1600 performs around the 6600GT

X1300 is just a rip of because it has 4 pipelines and has 512MB of ram lol

The whole X8** series from ATI suck. and yes the 7800GT is the best card to buy right now
eVGA > Leadtek > XFX

i really dont know where the X850XT goes so i just put it somewhere

If you have a 9800SE, it would be around the 5700. If you have a 9800Pro, it would be around the 6600, and if you have a 9800XT, it would be almost like a 6600GT.

6 series cards have shader model 3.0 though, that makes them better in a lot of games then their equivelent ATI cards.
