I have an emachine and think it would be better worth my time to build a nice budget gaming system than trying to upgrade my emachine.

This will be gaming only. So will this set-up play almost any game? Any compatability issues?

get the evga 6800 gs, everyone here seems to really love that card, and i may be buying one myself, only 200 dollars on newegg, it could keep you occupied until the g80.. so save ur pennies! haha
 
You bet it would be. E-machines are horrible, IMO.

Looks good. Maybe get a Geforce 6800 instead for the graphics card?
