Hello,
I installed a MSI K7T266 M/B and an AMD Athlon CPU into a new case. I carefully installed the heatsink using arctic silver 5 per the instructions. When I set the power supply switch to on, the supply sparked inside, didn't even get a chance to hit the switch on the front panel.
I got a replacement power supply, but have been reluctant to try it out.
Is there a way to T/S this carefully without smoking anything else? Is it the M/B, CPU, or was it just a bad power supply?
Thanks
