Yeah, well, I think most of you all here are blowhards. I own this game and love it. It's a very simple game that isn't very demanding. A vanilla 6600 or x700 will play the game nicely with smooth framerates. I don't know what everyone's getting ****y about. Spend about 150 on newegg and you'll have yourself a card that will run it like a charm.

ATI Radeon x800xt plat edition, I've never played a game with settings less then the best with this card. I love ATI

I'd hardly call 1280x1024 and 4xaa "no eye candy."

Besides, I can vouch for the 6600GT myself, maxed out, 1280x1024, all eye candy.

Other than fraps, you won't be able to tell the difference between 40 and 60fps anyways.

I don't think it's hard for most cards to max out this game though.

It seriously isn't. AoE3 isn't an intensive game at all.
