Hallelujah, you have quite a budget.
I'd say definately go for this bundle for your processor, motherboard, and ram. Newegg has an awesome deal on a(n):
AMD FX 55 Processor (One of the best processors.. period)
3 Different Motherboard choices (All fairly good)
And some Corsair xms 1Gig memory
all for 821-849$
then I'd get:
Yes the 7800GTX 512MB is a great card, but would you really pay 200 more $ for a few more fps? I wouldn't. So I'd go with the 7800GT or 7800GTX for 304-459$

Extra Memory:
With a 2000$ computer, you shouldn't go with less than 2Gigs of ram. So included with the above ram, I thought you should get some similar kind.
Corsaie XMS 1Gig RAM

Sound Card:
Creative Soundblaster X-Fi

Powesupply:
This should be able to run your beast of a system, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
OCZ Powerstream 520W

Hard Drive
250Gigs enough? This is a very good hard drive with 7200 RPM and 8Mb Cache

Case
Thermaltake XASER Armor Series

DVD Burner

This comes to about 1800-2000$ without shipping, so it's pretty high up there.

Good luck, it'll be a monster of a computer.

Yeah, with the setup he posted you can get rid of the raptor hard drives and get a standard one. The Raptor hard drives deliver really nice performance, but if you aren't too picky about it I'd say just get a Seagate or Western Digital 200-500Gig hdd.

Ive got a raidmax case with some fans in it. I also have a dvd drive and burner and cd drive.
Is there anything else i could save a little more money on?
Also how hard would this be for someone like me (noob) to set up and get going?

Its easy enough. Just read up on it before you start and dont rush things. Yah you dont really need 2 hard drives, just tryin to fill up your budget. but yes it'll decrease load times..

We can drop the sound card. the mboard comes with sound and its pretty good. You can add one later if not happy with the sound.

We could get a cheaper priced processor, but otherwise i would leave it at that.

Even Pz can build a pc:

well if i did that then i wouldnt need to get the dual core processor then right?

There is no relation there. Dual core / raptor hard drive> not related....

I would go for a dual core processor cause amost everything a pc does is multitasking so youll love it.
