ok, so i assume that the restore function could also be called the reapir.... right

possibly.....what options does it give you on the repair?

it says, that it will restore ir, i am running the reestore now, and it doesnt seem to be doing anythign

ugh i think my comp froze again.

yea.... wel i restarted it, and i get the recovery menu now..... it wants me to select a recovery option, either i can choose, built in repair feature of windows xp such as the system restore, and driver roll back capabilities. or try HP's system recovery

it says, all files, including data files on the user partion will be lost and the origional factory fils will be recovered to the user partion
