Hi Guru,

I want to build a new pc for using in cad/cam/fea/(almost in engineering programs, Matlab), video/movies, multi-tasking works,not playing game. I need to prepare for the next future upgrade also. So, I start with the following items and need your suggestions;

1.CPU; Athlon 64 3000+ Venice

2.MB; Between ASUS vs. DFI , I need to use it for overclocking and when I change CPU into Athlon 64 X2 in the next 3 years.

3. LCD; between Aopen http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824174029, and Fujiplus http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824168005

4.Ram 1 GB DDR PC3200, please let me know which one is suitable.

Thank you very much and A Happy New Year 2006. :)

Actually, for the number-crunching you want to do, an Intel processor would be better. Though the Venice is a good chip and cheaper than the P4 equivalent.

Consider an MSI motherboard... the NForce chipsets are awesome for OC.

Be sure to get a matched pair of 512MB RAM sticks for dual-channel.

yes, Vaderpro. Is this
HP Pavilion a1130n Desktop PC, refurbished(excluding monitor).

Well, i (we) at techforum recommend staying away from prebuilt systems. They are made to be difficult to upgrade, so i would stick with buying the stuff yourself and putting it together.

ok, I made a final decision at building my own PC at your recommended. Thank you so much and Happy New Year 2006 :)

Wow! Wow! Wow!
That's what I really need for my own pc building. 1 picture better more than 100 words, right? Thank you very much :)
