So I have a few questions. First, are all these parts compatible? Second, the case I have is designed a little weird. Here is a picture of the inside:

Some of the components are switched around and I'm wondering if this will be a problem for me when I build it. I read some reviews that said beginner builders should not use this case as it will cause extra frustration, but supposedly this case allows for better air flow and is very good all around. Thoughts?

Is this build supposed to be for gaming? If so, you'd be better of with an Athlon 64. The video card could also use some help. Not only is the X850 not so great, it's AGP.

It's a top-of-the-line AGP, and I don't feel like dishing out extra money for a motherboard with PCI-E support when it's not necessary.

I got a budget.

You could slack off on the RAM a bit and go for a better video card, you know. Plus, you never answered my original question.

And arguably, the 6800GS AGP is better.

Well, Socket 478 is being pushed out, and at that price, you could get a much better Athlon 64 system.

If your going to be strictly gaming, go with AMD. For the same price you have up there, you can get a DFI ultra-d, 3700+, 7800GT, and that RAM if you really want it. AGP is going out and the newer cards are all going to be PCI-e. Everything else looks good though.
