64 bit!!!!!!!!

ok I have a sempron processor which i have plans for like for example running a 64 bit os but I want to know the advantages and set backs of that and if I can still run 32 bit apllications while running the 64 bit. also does all software suport it?

so i take it that you have the sempron 64 correct? Yes you can still run 32 bit apps in 64. Not all software supports it, same thing with the drivers, make sure you ca find 64 bit drivers before you upgrade, otherwise, you will come back to 32 bit.

i'm runnin xp64. it's great. no problems so far. still using my softwares i had in the 32bit version. didn't worry about drivers for my computer cuz they all have 64bit versions available. exept for my symantec firewall. it's the only that don't work
