ide1 probs

i bought 2 new motherboards and 2 new cpu .. athlon 64 semp and ecs m800 and athlon 2600 semp with asrock k7vt pro both have same probs i cannot get ide1 to work i can use ide2 no probs on both but not ide1 .. anyone got any ideas ?

under the bios, if it the award bios that ecs uses i have noticed there was an ide bus boot order seperate from the regular, i think its in the chipset settings, re-arange that, see what happens, then there is the case that its an ecs board... *shaking fist* I HATE mine
