Where did my video card go?

I recently reformatted my computer, but my video card seemed to have, well, disappeared.

I never knew what kind of video card I have, and I need to know what I have to install the driver. Can anyone help me?

By the way, this is an IBM R31 notebook.

You are in windows right? I presume you are showing me a screen shot from your the computer with the "mssing video card". You need to download the drivers for that on-baord video and re-install them. It won't tell you what video hardware it is until you update the drivers!

Well the problem is I don't know what type of video card I have. I only know how to check it through dxdiag.

You need to go to IBM support website and download the divers for you laptop motherbaord. the onboard video drivers should be included.

Put in the data on your model # and stuff and OS and, for XP, the drivers for the video are at the very bottom of the fist page fo Drivers!

Thanks for the link, but I still get the same thing.

I also found a sound driver and I suddenly realized that my volume control buttons don't work. Weird...
