Ok i just swapped in new parts for my PC and did a fresh setup of OS with XP.
This is my current spec (all from memory here from work lol)
Gigabyte K8 Triton Sli Duel core ready Motherboard
AMD 64bit 3000+ Precessor
128mb Nvidia 6800 xt vid card
460w power supply
These 4 pieces are part of my new setup. My ram is 2x512 (from memory) called Nitro with brass casing (cant remember exactly)
After many random system restarts my comp now will boot up making the intial beeping sound and all lights on drives and comp are running as normal. The only problem now is the screen now displays nothing and the monitor blinks idle as if I need to move my mouse for it to respond. I cant even get to BIOS to check setup. My friend last night was messing with the Tweak settings in my BIOS on the chipset messing with clocking speeds and im afraid he did something he wasnt supposed to.
What should I do? I cant get into BIOS as the monitor wont respond and I know the Monitor itself is working fine as i tested it with another comp. Im going to try and swap parts and test one by one but does anyone know what my friend might have done? or is there something else that might be causing this? My comp is pretty much useless right now.
