Hey!
I've just done a straight-replacement of a motherboard in a system I'm fixing for somebody. As I expected, the operating system (XP) is rejecting it, since the controllers, chipset and the like have changed. The operating system won't boot, it just gives me a blue screen. I can't even get in to Safe Mode.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can get the operating system to accept the board?
I don't really want to have to back the entire drive up, format and re-install everything.
Thanks.
TMT.
