HELP, resolution stuck at 640x480 and 4-bit color

I left my computer on all night and had it shut down at 7:00 this morning. So I woke up later and turned it on and now everything is stuck at 640x480 and at 4-bit color qulaity. If I change the settings back to normal it does nothing! I just checked for viruses and just updated windows and nothing worked. How do I fix this??

EDIT: Well I can increase the resolution to 800x600 but anything else just reverts back to 640x480 and the color qulaity won't change from 4-bit. This is really annoying my eyes

Reinstall the drivers for you gpu.

have you tried to uninstall your drivers and reinstall?

ok, i rolled back the drivers and everything looks fine now. Do you think this will happen again if i update the drivers? What do you think went wrong?

make a restore point, update your drivers and see.

Try to update your drivers again I doubt they would release fualty drivers.
