I have Sonic Stage for my MP3 Player. It worked great. I got the spy sheriff spyware/virus thing and then when I would open sonic stage it would glitch very fast and I could not access anything. In safe mode, the program works perfectly. In regular mode, it continues to do the fast glitching. I don't understand. I removed the virus.

Also, in spybot I continue to get the red SpySheriff and windows explorer registry error, even after I remove it, it continues to show up. Any way I can get rid of this reoccurring error? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well you never did get rid of it, you still have it. Do you want to work with me to remove it?

Run Adaware SE 1.6
Spybot 1.4
Microsoft Antispy Beta
All Free from www.majorgeeks.com

Remove everything they find
Delete the prefetch folder, this folder will come back on next reboot
Delete all cookies and TIF's
Go to Start, run, type msconfig, go to startup, disable everything except your antivirus, apply, dont reboot yet.

Now go to control panel, display, desktop, customize desktop, web, click on security and then click delete, if you dont see security, thats good, dont worry about this step then

Go into safemode
Run your spyware programs again and remove anything they find. Reboot and run the programs once more and remove everthing they find

Well I have removed the spyware from my PC. Thanks by the way. This is my logfile from Hijackthis 1.99. However, SonySonic Stage still runs with the toolbar glitching very fast. I tried to reinstall the software but the same thing still happens. I don't know what to do about that. It works fine in safe mode.

Sony SonicStage is a program used for the SONY PSYC MP3 player. It's for transerring music to the MP3 Flash drive. The toolbar (file, edit, view, etic.) blinks (glitches) like a million times a minute. I guess I could compare it to as if you were to drag another window across the programs window, all it does is make the dragged window appear a hundred times because it acts like its frozen. It works fine in safe mode but not in normal mode.

you might want to try to uninstall it and reinstall

delete these 2 and repost the log

what is your search page right now and after you delete these entries?
