Bios/hardware Prob!

hello,

ive been trying to build a p.c and everything seems to be going we'll..

everything seems to work fine.. all fans are working.. p.c is running and goes into BIOS. assuming i have all the settings correct and reboot it from cdrom.. to setup windows xp...

PROBLEM: once it starts formatting the hard disk that i have ..goes to 20 percent then it just shuts down/switches off? ive done this numerous times and it goes off all the time?

have i set something wrong in bios??? how can i overcome this problem.. is the p.c overheating i dont understand can anyone help me

i would try to fromat the hd on another computer if possible and then but it back in that comptuer and try to install windows then. might work that way. if it still messes up on the differnt computer i would say it would be ur hd gone back and i would rma it.
