1.) Is the Pentium D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80 GHz, 800 FSB) the best Intel processor , and does it almost match AMD X2?

2.) Is Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 2 DIMMS good?

3.) Is the following a good computer, and will it play FEAR greatly?

THe computer I mentioned costs like $1400 including just a 1 year warranty...

Is the mentioned computer better, or am I better off buying the following computer and buying my own $100 PSU, and $500 7800 GTX and getting them installed for free:

The computer is $900... plus $600 would be $1500...wats my better option:

I suspect that they're using pretty cheap parts, considering how no one in the right mind would sell a prebuilt system of those specs, knowing that whoever buy's pre-built systems from Dells have almost no idea about computers or has crap loads of money to waste.

Did you check what company makes the Videocard, Haddrive(prolly maxtor), and ram?

If you plan on gaming, forget about the Intels. The crumble next to AMD's X2.

The Dell XPS is a computer made for people who don't know computers to brag about to other people who don't know about computers. If you are serious about getting a decent computer, forget about the name "Dell".
