External Hard drive closes after 5 sec

Hi people
I have an external hard drive but every time I try to open it it closes after 5 seconds.
 
it closes as it disconnects? have you check the power cable, usb cable, firewire, are they all connected firmly,etc?
 
Yes I conected and disconected them.Sometimes it stays open for example i could watch a concert the other day but i can wacth other videos because as it closes the media player cannot reproduce.
 
I have because I thought it was a virus but it comes back totally clean not even spyware or anything I will post anyway as I run a full system scan everyday

after 5 sec it closes the diference is sometimes im able to see something but if i dont open anything it closes
 
Yes, at the beginning I didn't install it because the guy in the shop told me I didn't need to so I didn't and then after a while I try to install it just in case it has a feature that I would find interesting and then realize it didn't work either the brand is I-Omega
