OK. I get paid tomorrow and will have over $200. My mom thinks I should put it all in the bank, but I'm looking into a new pc. So, I'm looking for a MoBo really cheap with on board graphics and sound, decent HD, no floppy, a case, and I was thinking going AMD with this build, but if Intel's cheaper, then I'll go with them (I know, AMD's better for gaming). Preferably a CPU 2.0GHz or higher. I don't need an OS, have a copy of Windows XP at home. And preferably a 80+G HD. I'm going to go search newegg right now and see what I find, but feel free to help me out with this one:D

Thanks for trying PZEROFGH. Here's what I've come up with so far:

MoBo:

CPU:

RAM:

HD:

And, Case:

TOTAL: $281.25 shipped. Guess I'll have to wait till next payday for it. Maybe I'll find some better deals by then:D Now, I just have to find a keyboard and mouse (have one in mind) and a monitor.

BTW- If I wait a couple of weeks, I will get more money, about another $100 each week. However, I don't want to use all my money on the computer. What do you guys think of what I have there? I was reading on that MoBo, and people have OCed the Sempron processor I have to 2.0GHz with stock cooling, which would be fine for me. This PC will be used mainly for gaming, but also for other stuff such as internet surfing and school reports and that crap.

Biostar?!?!? lol

anyways you need to fix the link in your sig, forgot the l in url

Why don't you sell your Celeron? Try and sell the motherboard and CPU, keep the ram, maybe get rid of your video card aswell. Biostar is kind of cheap, I've heard a couple things that they've cleaned up their act, but I still would'nt trust them. What about this for a hard drive?

I know it's socket A but I think that it would be suffice, plus look at the price:).

EDIT: I know the FSB is slower aswell but the CPU has twice the cache.

Well, the whole reason I wanted to build this one was so my bro and I wouldn't have to "share" this current pc. I want something that's OK with gaming. Onboard graphics will have to do right now (it can handle most of my games) but I will be upgrading down the road. I just had to pay for a college class, so my budget just lost $70. So, I'll probably be waiting till next Tuesday (payday) before I do anything.
