yeah guys, i have finally realised that there are better places to shop than ebay. i was just on pricewatch and was searching for a 1.8ghz p4, it brought up a lot of choices( thank god) that are in my price range. the cheapest choice was the xeon. here are the specs on the site.

http://www.starmicro.net/detail.aspx?ID=135

here is the original page. if this isint a good choice could you guys please choose one for me. i choose it cause it is only 44 bucks, with free shipping.

http://www.pricewatch.com/ the stupid url wont work so if you guys want to go to pricewatch.com click on the cpu link then in the middle row there is a link that says pentium 4 1.8ghz. it doesent say socket 478 though. that will bring you to the choices. thanks alot.

what do you mean by you dont think it will fit?are these cpu's any good. or are they are they not so good? for 44 bucks i dont know if i can pass it up.

Is this Xeon going to be for a server? Because thats what their built for. If you use a Xeon for gaming let alone a 1.8GHz one, than you are going to be very dissapointed.

Pricewatch blows, don't use it. the one time i used pricewatch, half my parts didn't come in, and what did took 2-3 weeks to arrive. everyone here will tell you to use either newegg or zipzoomfly, their quick, reliable, and a wee bit more expensive, but its worth the extra cost just to get your parts.
