Which one is better?

Any advantages / cons of either one?

I would go with the MSI K8N NEO4-F as MSI makes great mobo's that are stable and long lasting. But really i would personally just get the MSI K8N NEO4-F for 80 dollars on newegg, because the neoplatinum just looks like a waste of money.

Pzero..... regarding the MSI

What about the SATA? It says "150 MB/s data transfer rate".

I thought the latest SATA was like 3GB / s (SATA 300?)

SATA150 is 1.5GB's as SATA II is 300mb/s or 3GB/s

Well, the Asus supports SATA2..... as well as the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum ....... however, the regular Neo4... only has SATA1

is SATA2 worth it over SATA1?

Not really because the data transfer really only hovers around 100mb/s.
