That what I've been reading in the link FlyBoyChuckles provided. I've been trying to slipstream SP2 to make a bootable CD.

When I get to the point where I intergrate SP2 into my XP folder (as per the tutorial) it says that the CD files that I copied already have a service pack installed in it.

Is there anyway I can remove the SP1 from my XP folder, or can I just overwrite my I386 folder?

i used to follow microsoft's way of slipstreaming xp on their website but now i find it easier and more efficient to use this great tool called nlite (http://www.nliteos.com/) for slipstreaming
