Hello. I am going to upgrade my computer with 512 Memory instead of 256. I was going to buy this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...goryId=cat01169&type=product&id=1077630669390PNY - 512 MB but then my dad said I could only get "Dell" Memory, because I have a Dell Dimension 4550 Desktop Computer. Is this true, or can I get that product at best buy and will it work?

you dont need dell ram. just make sure your getting the right kind of ram, run crucial scanner at www.crucial.com to see what ram you need then look that up on newegg, go for some corsair valueselect

Ok so I did the scan and I saw this: 184-pin DIMM at the top of the screen. Is that the type of memory that only my computer can use?

EDIT: By the way can someone tell me if that memory above at best buy will work?

i wouldnt go with the ram at bestbuy, go with the corsair valueselect that i linked above.
