but that's just me.
Or if you only want to get a graphics card and powersupply, maybe get the psu at circuitcity, but if you want a good graphics card that's worth it, definately shop at newegg or a different computer online store. The 6800GS and 6600GT are perfect alternatives which are just above and below your price range, both greatly exceeding the power of the x700.
yeh i agree with PcMe with the video card being way overpriced.. definately go with a 6600gt or a 6800gs because its cheaper and you get more performance for the price you pay.
I just recently got a new sound card and speakers and a mouse so i dont need those things. And is their a good graphics card on circuit city that any of you would recomend?
umm not really its all too overpriced i think some of these prices are the same as what we can get our stuff for here in australia. (it should be about 30% cheaper.)
Price isn't really a huge issue. I just want to be able to play games like quake 3 and 4, wolfenstein, half life and other games like that. Don't you think that the ATI Radeon X700 would be able to play those? At the moment I have a nVidia GeForce FX5700LE 256MB video card and want something thats better.
Hmm well if price isn't an issue get this: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/EVGA...31590/catOid/-13043/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
One of the best video cards out there.
Or yeah, if you REALLY need to buy from circuitcity and you don't want to spend 350$ for a 7800gt, get the x700pro. But I bet you'll be looking to upgrade not too soon after.
