no it had the same problem and i just given up on it for the past few months and now i am trying to solve it once and forall since i got my new moniter for christmas

what i would do is kinda rebuild your pc, like re-seat your memory, vc, pci cards, etc, switch out memory modules, etc. Check all hardware

i have done that in the past already, switched the memory between the slots. took out vid card and put back in. unplugged HDs and CD drive, everything cept take out Processor. It stops booting after it says Verifying DMI Pool Dat if that helps. here are specs also:

CPU: AMD 64 3400+ 2.2g
MEM: 2x512 dual channel
Vid Card: AOpen GeForce 6600 256mb
HD: 1 40g and one 60g

Corrupt boot files on the computer.
Settings for hard disk drive are not correct.
Floppy diskette or CD in computer causing issue.
Boot devices not set properly.
BIOS corrupt or misc. setting not set properly.
Connections loose or disconnected.
Bad Hard disk drive or other bad hardware.

Can you rule these out?

the boot files do work but take forever prolly not corrupt
HDs are set up right
not floppy there is none in and cd is boot cd
MB boots ok and BIOS seems fine
Connection seem ok
Dont now if the hard drives are bad could be that
