well usually amd is better for gaming but in this case the P4 would be better. Its kind of like comparing a celeron 3.1ghz with a P4 3.0 ghz the p4 will win every time

huge disparity in the age of the cpu's in question . if you plan on buying a cpu go socket 939 amd for best gaming performance .
