Error messages back-up.. HELP!

Trying to back up files, however cd writing wizard does not automatically come up.. so I try to copy (right click on file) and send to cdrw..

the following error messages appear:

Cannot copy backup files. "read-only" you can still copy new files...

Error copying file or folder. The disk is write protected.

I have Sonic loaded, but that has not worked.. states I need to put in a re-writable CD (already loaded in bay)


Please help!

Have you tried a cd burning program? Unless you got a good program like roxio you can't copy and paste to a cd.. Here try cheetah cd burner :

I thought Sonic was a cd burn/back-up program..

Still curious as to why the cd writing wizard does not automatically start when a cd is placed

will try your download when I get to my notebook,and let you know if it works-- Thanks for your help...

Yeah, glad I could help... the cd writing wizard doesnt work from time to time, meaning:

1: You need a restart..
2: Disc is to scratched to recognize it..
3: The auto launch feature is disabled (Right click cd drive and goto auto-play and select the items you want it to auto play)
