for what components should i download the latest drivers for? my mobo and video card came with a cd but my cdrom drive didnt. should i just forget about the cds that came with them and just download all of the latest drivers of each component and burn them to a cd? also.. does my CPU need drivers?

CD = no
CPU = no
Motherboard = yes (chipset, audio, graphic, NIC)
Video card = yes
Modem = yes (Windows will give it one, but getting the real one is better)

And any other peripheral device you put with your computer will need drivers as well.
