Problem with graphics card or RAM

I'm not sure which one it is, the RAM or the Vid Card RAM. But whenever i'm running an application that uses a lot of memory or a lot of graphic memory, it doesn't take long until my screen chooses a random solid color to display and freeze up the comp, or displays one color with many vertical stripes. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with a bad sector in my RAM or my Video Card RAM. By the way specs are 192MB SDRAM 64MB Vid. Does anyone here have any idea of how i can create a partition on my ram or video ram so that the bad sectors will be skipped over?

don't think you can, it's prolly better off getting new RAM, maybe 2x256
