opty 165 or x2 3800

which to go with basically the same price
the x2 is a 2.0 and the opty is a 1.8
but the opty has twice the l2 cache
which is faster which oc's better which is better for gaming, multitasking etc.

I'd getthe 3800 they can also overclock fine but the mere fact that the X2 is duel core is more than enough reason to get it. I think a opteron of that speed would not be duel core.

well then both are generally cool and can overclock well. It comes down to prefrence I suppose.

Which do you want more an Opteron or an Athlon. Your choice.

I'd get opteron because it has 2x1mb of l2 cache and the 3800+ has 2x 512kb.

thats what im thinking the opty has twice the cache and is only a lil bit slower nothing a little ocing wouldnt accomplish plus opty oc better

the X2 can over clock just as well as an Opt some will say.

The 165 3800+ X2 are both 1.8GHz.
