ill be buying the case from a local store to avoid shipping cost. So what do you think of this for a gaming pc? This stuff costed my around $750 total. how well will it handle current games (half life 2, doom 3, fear) and also future games?

Minus not having a PSU its a good PC. It'll smoke HL2, Doom 3 and FEAR should be decent. Future games will bog it down. The new unreal engine is gonna dround your comp as well as mine.

what portion of my pc will be bogged down? im guessing the processor right? cause i was told that the 7800gt should be good for a while. im planning on going dual core and also adding another gig of ram when i get the cash

I doubt the processor will be bogged down if it is you can always overclock it. The Unreal Engine might require Sli to run on high graphics but thats a whole nother topic. You'll be able to upgrade that to smoke the new games but as is it will probably not run the new ones on high settings.
Make sure you get an Sli compatible PSU with your case but other than that I wish I had that comp. lol

well my mobo is sli ready so all i need to do is get a psu thats powerful enough right? then when i need the boost for new games ill get another 7800gt. will that do it for future games? oo yea and also another gig of ram

SLI single systems at standard resolutions actually run slower FPS rates than APG with similar cards. The performance increases only come at the higher resolutions. Any currentg dual core CPU, (800 Mhz FSB) 2 gigs of DDR 400 memory and a 6800GT will not be a problem. It runs BF2 no problem, The system he is building will be great and good to go for a long time to come. Nice system dude!!!

thanks man.. by the way i read about SLI and it doesnt even seem worth it. i dont think its all it hyped up to be. my near future upgrade plans are a dual core processor and another gig of ram. i dont think i need much more than that
