install windows 2000 w/o floppy drive

I have windows xp on my laptop and I just need to get into dos from my c drive in order to install windows 2000 but I don't know how to go about doing this. I need the boot floppies from windows 2000 but I don't have a floppy drive. Thanx

Can't you make a bootable CD Rom? That is what I had to do when my girlfriends laptop died, took me about 5 hours to get one working but it's sat happily with 2000 on ever since.

Granted 2000 without a floppy drive is a pain to install though. Just try googling Windows 2000 Boot +cd and I'm sure you'll find some information on doing it.

a Win98 cd can boot you into dos with cd-rom support

You should just be able to set the boot order in the bios to boot from c drive and that it, you shouldnt need a boot disk
