Hello all

After deciding to not upgrade my pc, I am going to build a new one. I already have the case, monitor, psu, etc., and all I need is a new motherboard, processor, video card, and memory.

For a total of $492.28, here are the parts:

Amd Athlon 3200; $174.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103535

Biostar NF4ST-A9 ATX AMD Motherboard; $73.00 (I'm getting a combo special with this and the processor, so it's actually $53.00) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138248

pqi POWER Series DDR 400 PC 3200 512MB; $33.14 x 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141164

Gigabyte Geforce 6800GS 256MB; $199.99

looks fine from what I can see just make sure your PSU has enough power on the 12v rail to support your new hardware

get MSI motherboards....dont get unknown brands

corsair value select ram is also very nice

eVGA graphic cards are better in my opinion ( dont know which ones cheaper though, if its a big difference to you then get gigabyte coz its not bad either)

Not Bad

You should go with the an MSI or DFI mobo. If you can scrape a couple of extra bucks together go with a 3500+ you'll be happy you did. The way things get outdated so quibweewcly you may wan't to spend just a few extra bucks. Go with an eVGA 6800 video card.

DFI is often overhyped I'm not telling you to go out and get a ASUS but at least think about it.
