Ive been planning on building a computer for some time now and ive raised enough money now and i want to use it for gameing generally also id like to keep it a little bit under the budget because i want to keep some for christmas to spend on so any tips on building and builds will be appreciated

If you are a newb, go through the forum and read up on tips on how to handle your equipment, you don't want to damage anything.

My Suggestions:

-DFI LanParty Ultra-D mobo
-AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego Core or AMD Opteron 170
-OCZ 2gb ram
-Seagate Sata 120GB drive
-Any Optical Drive will do unless you burn stuff all the time
-Nvidia 7800GT
-Antec Trupower PSU or an expensive OCZ one
-Any Case you think is nice.

Optional:
-Neons and fans.

i need a monitor and everything to so i might not be able afford all that and im planning on getting some anti-static wrist bands

Try this on for size... it's based on a build I'm putting together.

Total ~ 1100. (Excluding S&H, and taxes)

Now, if you need to shave a little bit off to fit that into your budget (or to afford a new monitor, etc), you could easily find a cheaper case (this is the case I fell in love with), smaller HD (I'm a movie junkie, so I need the space), and/or buy a no name DVD drive (for like $40). doing all that could easily drop the price of this rig to below $1000, giving you room to buy a monitor and speakers for your budget.

Good luck.

Here are my suggestions
MSI k8n Neo-4 $81
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ $325
eVGA Geforce 6800GS $200
2x1GB Corsair Value Select $170

Just fill in the rest but the mobo is great, if you're on a budget i recommend getting a CRT monitor because they are considerably cheaper then an LCD Monitor, If you cant afford this drop the 2GB of ram down to 1GB, but your gonna have a performance decrease in games like BF2, CoD 2, and F.E.A.R

Opteron 148 or Athlon 3700- $230
Msi k8n neo4- $80
2g ocz- $200
6800gs-$200
Seagate Barracuda 250g- $100
NEC DVDRW- $40

*Estimated prices from memory, take or leave a few bucks*

Total so far: $850

Leaves around 350 bucks for your monitor, psu, and case. With the money left: Get a good power supply, a case that you like, and a crt monitor since it doesn't look like you can afford lcd. Could also get just 1g of memory, but newer games like BF2 get performance boosts from 2gs. Could also look for cheaper value RAM if you want to.

Sup I'm Iranian too.
If you want to cut your costs a little, go with the free evga sli mobo that comes with the purchase of a evga 7800 GT.
