Ok from what I've read here and what you guys have helped me with I have a revised computer build. I changed most the parts, im still not sure what MOBO to use. Radeon and GeForce looked about the same to me. For the video card I don't want to spend over $250. And like I said earlier I don't know what to do about the MOBO.

I used Static_11's guide to help me find what parts I want, thanks. I origanally posted this in General PC's but decided to kind of move it here. I did some more research. Also what do you think of my comp. build. Thanks

Links Fixed

Samsung is overpriced. Get a Viewsonic.

Again, the those motherboards are junk. The chipset is also bad.

I would also get a 6800GS or 7800GT instead and maybe a higher powered PSU for future upgrades.

NVidia, Via, and ATI Chipsets should all work with any video card (NVidia is the best).

Aussie, none of your links work......

You don't have to get a mobo w/the same chipset as your video card. It's just like in car audio, it would be nice to have all the components of the same brand, but not necessary.

Yeah work on those links. About the computer, look into a new psu (minimum 480), check out the 6800 or 7800 and the mobo needs to go. Basically what the people above said.

Ok, I wasnt sure about the MOBO I picked the one that said ATI cause I thought it was the only one that would work. Do you think the 6800GS would be better than the Radeon X850 that I have up in my post. 7800 is to much money.

yes 6800GS is WAY better than the X850. with good cooling, power supply and stuff, 6800GS can be modded into something that beats the 6800ultra. not to mention the X850 does'nt even support shader model 3.
