Installing hard drive for notebook

Hello everyone, glad to have found a well-rounded forum for hardware discussion.
I'm a PC modder from way back, been building rigs since my dad bought one of the first Apples. (I know, I'm dating myself..)
Anyway, I have very little experience with upgrading notebooks, and I'm having trouble finding some info on installing a hard drive in one. I would be eternally grateful if someone could point me to some detailed instructions for upgrading notebooks or perhaps suggest a book on the subject.
Thanks in advance for the help, and allow me to offer you my experience if you should have need of it.

Thanks for that link. I downloaded the video and I believe that I will be able to get this laptop repaired. Thanks again for your help.
