Hello , im wondering why my pc's CPU Usage is always going beyond 60% even though im not touching anything.. i scanned For viruses With Norton and i did an Online scan , i did Adware and Spyware Scans they all found nothing .. Do i have Malware ? If so what do i do ? please please get back

So you are saying that your computer idles around 60%? What spyware scans did you use? Ususally best to use several if you think there is a problem. Also, your computer is actually maxing itself out, since with HT windows cannot detect CPU usage properly, (thinks you have a dual core) and thus will list on 50-60% when you have a single thread that is using all your cpu time.

But time to check a few things:
give it the three finger salute (ctrl alt del) and go to the processes tab (this only works on win2k and higher) and then click on the CPU column to sort it by usage. What is using all that power?

Next, go to start > run > type "msconfig" and then go to the start up tab in the window that comes up. post everythign you see there (just the names)

i done a Hijack This here is the scan:

your log looks good. go to start, run, type msconfig, go to startup and click disable all. I see you have norton, so go ahead and disable everything and reboot. See if it still idles that high. if it doesnt, you know its something in your startup list, possible norton
