im trying to sort a mates computer when i put in a cd of any decription it dosent run,
i whent in to my computer to check out the drives,
there is no cd disk drive showing,and for some strange reson it has a 51/4 floppy in there,but there isnt one installed.if i try to open 51/4 floppy it say error i/o device.the cd drive lights up and is installed properly.im confused can anyone HELP!

check your ide cables for a mix and look in device manager for and confusions.

Remove the 51/4 drive uninstall it.And reboot.See if it replaces it with the CD drive .
