Intel Yonah Performance Preview

This is quite old now, but I realized it was never posted here. This is the first look at Yonah, the first dual core mobile chip from Intel.

Not bad, considering this is a mobile chip crippled by a 166FSB, not to mention no on-die memory controller. Hopefully they OC like Dothan's

I think with as close as it performed to the x2 3800 (both chips are clocked at 2Ghz), Conroe should be very impressive.

Oh Hell yes. I hope they get their clockspeeds higher though, a slightly faster A64 still outdoes it.

I haven't heard what the range of speeds are going to be yet. I would have to guess though that the desktop versions will be considerably faster.

True, Mobiles do tend to be slower than the desktops. And they're only the first batch, so the speeds will probably go much higher. These are 65nm right?
