Resolution problem..

Aight guys i have a problem with changing resolutions on the computer.

Problem is when i set it to some resolutions the screen goes black and the lights on my monitor. ( its one of those ones were it has a light for each setting on it.) Goes back and forth kind of like a night rider thing.

if i set windows resolution past 1024x765 it does it as well. Also when i was playing games i i tried to lower CS to 800x600 ( been playing it in 1024x765) and it does the same thing!!

Now i can't get into change it since the game is still running and the screen is blank!! It also does it in Black & White 2 if i try to change it to any setting other then what it starts in.

Has anyone else ran into this problem or know how to fix it?

NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT (Omega 1.6693) (P)
AMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ 2010.2

lower the refresh rate...

might want to update your drivers.....

well i had to up the refresh rate or w/e that thing was before to 85 from 75 because the monitor was making a weird noise.

Also what drivers do i need to update??

Any i guess you could say it's always done this. The computer isnt that old tho. Not even a month.
