6600 gt screws?

I have a 6600 gt gigabyte agp card. I just bought a new zalman cooleer for it. I can't get the old heatsink off thought. It has those plastic thing you are supposed to squeeze but they wont come out. Help me

Make sure you are well grounded. I use those blue rubber gloves that cost $12 at auto zone.. go buy some (500 pair for $12). Get a pair of needle nose pliars and gently squeez the plastic tabs closed and then work them back and forth in rotation (slowly) wihtout touching the metal part of the pliars to the board surface. Be patient and they will release.

ya that worked had them out in minutes... gpu temps dropped 20 degress, noise in computer went down(old fan buzzed) and my cpu temp lowered 5 degrees. Thanks
