Quietness

I have decided that my main priority this Christmas is making my computer quieter because sometimes when I turn my computer on I think my mom is vacuuming.

So this is what I have:

Aerocool Jetmaster
AMD 64 stock Heatsink and Fan
WD 160 GB IDE hard drive
eVGA 6600gt
512mb of ram

I am getting an Antec Super Lanboy for Christmas, and from what I've read, it is almost silent. I am also ordering another stick of 512 mb because I think I don't have enough so it is using the hard drive for extra. I don't think the 6600gt made my system any louder when I installed it, so that leaves the CPU HS&F. I think I will get the thermaltake blue orb 2. Does anyone here have one? If so how much cooler did it make your cpu? And is it loud?

using Zalman CNPS7000 Copper on P42.8HT...quiet ...load temp between 50c-55c, which would also depend on ur room temperature...Zalman also have new hsf...may be u can look into that

also want to point out that the main components that generates a lot of noises are

PSU
CPU HSF
Video HSF
Case fans
Case itself (well the more fan mounts in your case, the more noise comes out from your case)

also, obstructions in the airflow of the case fans can cause lots of noise.
